Tuesday saw milder weather for the time of year as temperatures hit 15C.
The average temperature for November in the UK is 10C.
But the milder will be interrupted as colder temperatures arrive on Wirral.
Northwesterly winds will bring colder air over the country dropping temperatures to 9C during the day on Thursday and just 6C overnight.
However, it isn’t expected to last long as milder temperatures will return again in time for Friday.
Temperatures will return to double figures by the weekend.
The Met Office say: “A wet and cloudy start on Wednesday, with rain heaviest in the north.
“Mild, but temperatures dropping with blustery showers mixed with clear spells later. Windy, risk of coastal gales.”
