
New Brighton was battered by large waves today after a mix of high tides and windy weather hit the coast.
Waves over topped sea defences at New Brighton and West Kirby.
Winds hit 45 mph creating some dramatic scenes at New Brighton seafront that Jane Watts captured on camera.

Temperatuers have been above average for Wirral over the few days, with temps of 15C forecast for Tuesday.
The Met Office say: “Tuesday will be very mild for the time of year right across the country Thermometer
“As we begin the day, #temperatures are likely to already be higher than what we would expect to see as maximum temperatures in mid-November.”
Temperatures are expected to dip as we head towards the weekend.
The Met Office added: “Wet on Wednesday, with strong winds into the afternoon, potential for gales near coasts.
“Temporarily becoming dry, cold and settled with sunny spells on Thursday. Wet weather returning for Friday.”
