Wirral has been warned to expect flooding through today as heavy rain showers are forecast.
The Met Office issued Wirral a yellow severe weather warning for rain until 10pm Saturday.
Flooding and road surface spray is likely as up to 40mm of rain could fall across the area.
The Met Office say: “Although thunderstorms are less likely today, heavy showers and more prolonged rain will continue at times, still with the possibility of thunder.
“These may bring 10-20 mm per hour for some places during Saturday, with perhaps 30-40 mm over a few hours. The ground is getting wetter now, so this may cause a few issues”.
Flooding is a risk over the next few days too as rain is forecast to fall across Wirral for the next three days.
Temperatures over the next few days will be around 10C cooler than on Thursday when Wirral heated up to 29C.
