This amazing picture shows a shark washed up on New Brighton beach.
Gill Nedelcu captured the surprising scene on Sunday night and uploaded the picture to twitter.
The shark was later identified as a smoothhound shark by the shark trust.
They are usually found in waters in the Northeast Atlantic from southern Norway to at least the Bay of Biscay.
The smoothhound feeds almost exclusively on crustaceans and grows up to 140cm long.
