Wirral had a welcome return to warmer temperatures today as the area enjoyed its hottest weather of the year.
Temperatures reached over 23C with some spots recording much higher readings.
People flocked to New Brighton and Formby beaches to soak up the sun.
Government advice says that people can go and travel to to places to have a picnic or sunbathe so long as there is social distancing.
But places across the UK in areas such as Southend looked dangerously packed.
Temperatures will dip as the week progresses on Wirral and a cold front brings a risk of thundery showers and cooler temperatures.
