Wirral will be hotter than Portuagal’s capital Lisbon today as the hot weather returns.
Temperatures will climb above 20C today and with plenty of sunny spells forecast it could go a few degrees over.
Portugal’s capital will only manage cloudy tempratures of 18C today meaning Wirral will be warmer.
The warmer weather also means that the pollen count will be high which wont be welcome news for hayfever suffers.
The warm weather will continue into Friday but will cool down again by the weekend when Saturday will see highs of only 11C.
The Met Office say: “A dry and largely clear morning with sunshine for many but a little cloud making it’s way into the north.
“Through the afternoon there will be plenty of sunshine but the cloud edging further south. A warm day. Maximum temperature 20 °C.”
Although the weather will be nice over the next few days it’s important to remember to stay at home.
Do not go out to meet others, even friends or family, as it is possible to spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms.
Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home), always stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people and wash your hands as soon as you return home.
