One of the Royal Navy’s biggest ever ships arrived in Liverpool last Friday on a week long stay.
The 65,500 tonne ship arrived in Liverpool on Friday to a crowd of hundreds lining the banks of the Mersey.
Many watched from Wirral with people flocking to New Brighton and parts of Wirral’s waterfront to watch the impressive sight.
HMS Prince of Wales is one of the most powerful surface warships ever constructed in the UK and one of the largest ships ever built for the Royal Navy.
Although the Royal Navy will not give an official leaving time, a notice to mariners document from Peel Ports shows the estimated departure time of 3:45pm on Friday.
