Wirral was issued an Amber weather warning for most of Sunday and the Met Office described it as a risk to life.
West Kirby and New Brighton saw waves over top sea defences during the 60 mph winds.
Met Office are predicting that Wirral see winds of over 50mph during Monday, Tuesday and Wedneday, which could see another storm named.
The rest of the new week is looking windy and could see more wind warnings issued.
The potential storms that could be named are Dennis, Francis and Ellen.
There were more huge waves at our coasts on Monday as storm Ciara moved away.
New Brighton saw more large waves topple sea defences and there could be further similar scenes through the week.
Looking further ahead, Chief Meteorologist Frank Saunders said: “In the wake of Storm Ciara, it’ll remain unsettled and very windy across the UK and it’ll turn colder with wintry showers and ice an additional hazard, as we head into the new week.
