Christmas week is upon us so here is what the weather will be doing during the festive break on Merseyside.
Temperatures through the festive period will average at around 8C, meaning it won’t be a freezing week of weather that’s usually associated with frosty christmassy scenes.
The Christmas week will get off to a dry start but by Christmas Eve the wet weather will return.

Christmas Day will be a dry day, perfect weather for a chirtmas day walk but by Bixing day there will be a return to the unsettled weather.
Boxing day will see gusty winds of around 30mph and rain across the region.
The Met Oddice say: “Showers in the morning will linger through monday afternoon for many, but will ease later leaving a dry evening for most. It will be breezy, particularly along the coastline.
“After a wet start to Christmas Eve it should turn drier and brighter, with the best of the sunny spells on Christmas day. Returning to unsettled weather on Boxing Day.”
