Thundery wintry showers on the way for Merseyside and temperatures to feel like 3C

There’s a risk of further wintry showers this week on Merseyside after sleet and snow hit Wirral this week.

Saturday saw sleet/snow showers hit parts of Wirral, snow was reported in Hewall, Moreton and Neston.

The Met Office say that there’s a further risk of more wintry showers through Monday on Merseyside.

Monday could also see thunder and lightning hit the region with strong winds.


Winds will be gusting at over 40mph making temperatures through the day feel closer to 3C, all week temperatures will average at 8C.

The Met Office say: “A wet and blustery start on Monday with the showers continuing throughout the day.

“At times these could be thundery or wintry. A risk of gales around hill and coasts.”
