
RNLI volunteers from New Brighton rescued a family of five on Saturday.
The crew ere called out to two adults and three children that were cut off by the tide.
The incoming tide had trapped them on a sandbank in the River Alt at around 2:59pm on Saturday.
After rescuing the family the RNLI took them ashore to waiting ambulance and coastguard crews.

A spokesperson for New Brighton RNLI said: “Lifeboat arrived on scene and rescued two adults and three young children.
“The 5 people rescued in the River Alt were trapped on a sandbank that they couldn’t cross due to the incoming tide.
“Five people brought on board the lifeboat and taken to awaiting coastguard team and ambulance shoreside for a check over.”
