Merseyside will bake through Bank Holiday weekend but there’s a big change on the way


Temperatures of 28C are forecast through Saturday with plenty of sunshine.

Many people made the most of the glorious weather at the start of the bank Holiday weekend by heading to parks and beaches across Merseyside.

The sunshine is expected to last through the whole Bank Holiday, however, temperatures will dip through each day.

Temperatures will still be warm through Sunday when highs of 24-25C are expected, but as bank Holiday Monday arrives temperatures will feel cooler with highs of 21C.

The Met Office say: “Another hot and sunny day on Sunday, particularly inland.

“Perhaps increasing amounts of low cloud developing through the Irish Sea as the day progresses.”

As the week goes on there will be a big change in the weather with a return of cloud, cooler temperatures and rain.

The Met Office added: “A cloudy start Monday, though most places becoming hot and sunny by the afternoon.

“Generally more cloud around on Tuesday and less hot. Fresher by Wednesday, with some showery rain. “
