
Merseyside baked in warm temperatures from the heatwave that is currently heating France to record temperatures.
An incredible 45.1C was recorded which was the hottest Ever, beating temperatures recorded in 2003.
The UK enjoyed it’s hottest day of the year so far as 29.3C was recorded at Achnagart in Scotland.

Merseyside reached a 25C, but although not as hot as France, it still provided some very warm conditions which are expected to continue overnight.
Temperatures will remain at a warm 16C overnight which may provide some uncomfortable sleeping conditions.
The Met office say: “Dry tonight with often clear skies, and with just the odd patch of misty low cloud forming over hills during the early hours. Temperatures holding in double figures for most.”
The hot weather that has heated up Merseyside today will continue through the weekend.
As the new week gets off to a start cooler air will arrive making the weather feel much fresher and dropping temperatures to 20C.
