Temperatures will get hotter next week as the warm spell continues on Merseyside

Merseyside has enjoyed temperatures of over 20C over last few days as the UK enjoys a warmer than average Easter.

People will be in for a treat as the warm weather is here to stay for at least another three days.

The warm spell is set to continue into next week with forecasters predicting temperatures to rise.

The stunning weather is set to continue right through the Easter weekend and Bank Holiday Monday.

By Monday and Tuesday Merseyside will see the mercury hit 23C with parts of the south of the UK seeing temperatures near 27C-28C.

However, from Wednesday showers and cooler temperatures will arrive with risk of thunder and lightning.

The Met Office say that Sunday will be “another fine, dry and very warm day across the region with clear blue skies for much of the day.

“Temperatures remaining well above average for the time of year. Maximum temperature 25 °C.”

“Fine and dry on Easter Monday, with plenty of warm sunshine. Tuesday will see a little more cloud around but still warm.

“Turning increasingly unsettled on Wednesday, with thundery showers.”
