Merseyside set to bask in temperatures hotter than Majorca this Easter weekend

Colder air from Scandinavia has resulted in chillier temperatures over the last few days, which led to some frosty and cold mornings.

But this is set to end in a blaze of glorious sunshine this Easter weekend.

Warmer air from the continent will arrive by the end of the week which will raise temperatures to near the 20C mark.

With a lack of cloud forecast the weather will feel very pleasant over the long weekend.

Good Friday will see temperatures reach 20C, but this could well be higher in parts of Merseyside.

The warmer weather will continue throughout the weekend bringing perfect conditions for those looking to head outside for the Bank Holiday.

The Met Office say: “It will be dry, bright and breezy over the next few days.

“There will be sunny spells and it will turn warm or very warm by Friday.”

The weather is expected to be hotter than Majorca as the Island will be covered in cloud managing temperatures of 17C, parts of the south of the UK could see temperatures reach 25C.
