Temperatures set to dip at the start of April on Merseyside

The start of April will see colder temperatures on Merseyside.

The Jet Stream will push colder air from the north down over the UK through the week.

And it’s no April Fools, early mornings will see the coldest of the weather as temperatures will dip as low as 2C on April 1st.

There’s a risk of some frost in some areas and forecasters say it will become wet and windy at times.

The Met Office said: “Next week will be off to a chilly but mainly fine start on Monday with a frost likely in central and southern areas, and showers in the north which will bring some snow to the hills.

“Becoming more changeable through the week, with rain and strong winds at times, mainly in the northwest of the UK, where some wintry showers are possible.

“There will be some rain in the south too from time to time, but there will be more in the way of dry weather around.

“Into the following week, there is a chance that it may become settled more widely.”
