On Saturday the Met Office issued Merseyside severe weather warnings for snow on Sunday and strong winds next week.
The Met Office expect that some areas could see 1-2cm of snow overnight on Saturday and into Sunday which could lead to some travel disruption.
Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services, the Met Office said.
Although weather warnings have been issued, most parts are expected to see no snow at all, with most falling over higher areas.
Next weekend strong winds are also expected the hit the region as 60 mph gusts are forecast.
Severe weather warnings have been issued as strong winds could lead to large waves at coasts, travel disruption and power cuts.
The Met Office say: “A spell of strong northwesterly winds across Northern Ireland is expected to extend across much of England and Wales through Wednesday.
“Gusts of up to 50-55 mph are likely inland and 65 mph along western coasts. Winds will gradually ease during the afternoon.”
