Mild temperatures will end bitterly cold mornings on Merseyside – but not for long

Milder temperatures will arrive in time for the weekend on Merseyside which will see an end to the freezing temperatures.

The freezing weather caused travel Chaos on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning as ICE lead to travel cancellations and delays.

However, this is set to end on Friday as double figure temperatures return.

On Friday and through the weekend temperatures will be back over 10C meaning a much less colder start to the mornings.

But this isn’t set to last as the cold snap will return by the start of next week.

As Tuesday arrives the wintry weather will return with freezing temperatures and the risk of snow and sleet.

The Met Office say: “Friday will be breezy, cloudy and milder for all. There will also be patchy rain or drizzle with hill fog at times too.

“Strong winds and rain on Saturday will be followed by wintry showers. Sunday will be colder, brighter and drier. Windy with rain and possible hill snow moving east on Monday.”
