2019 will get off to a warmer than normal start according to forecasters.
As the clock strikes 12 and we see in the year temperatures will be into double figures on Merseyside.
Highs of 10C are forecast and it will be feeling much less cold if you’re out celebrating in the back garden.
Those setting fireworks off are in luck as the weather is set to be dry across the region at midnight.
The Met Office say: Little change as we go into the New Year, with mostly dry, cloudy and mild conditions.
“Into New Year it will stay mostly cloudy and mild, with light rain and drizzle at times.
“New Year’s Day will be drier though, with brighter skies.”
