Wednesday morning saw the coldest temperatures since the start of 2018 on Merseyside.
People across the region woke up to icy windscreens and frost as temperatures dipped to just below freezing overnight.
With the wind chill temperatures felt closer to a couple of degrees below freezing through the night and this cold feel to the weather is set to continue through the week.

Colder air from the west is to continue to hold its grip for a few more days with temperatures around 6C but feeling closer to 2C with the wind chill.
By the weekend temperatures are expected to recover slightly as wetter and windier weather arrives.
By Saturday the weather could be feeling much milder with a return to double figure temperatures.
The Met Office say: “Friday will be mainly dry and bright, but still felling cold, with some mist and drizzle on the hills.
“Less cold on Saturday. Otherwise mainly dry and bright through the period, but with skies clouding over at times.
“A few showers are possible, especially in the east.”
