The weather has been warmer than what is normal for the time of year, with most days seeing temperatures of around 15C.
However there is a dramatic change in the weather on the way through the weekend and into the following week.
As the colder air from the east moves in temperatures will struggle to reach above 10C through the weekend on Merseyside.
By next week temperatures will be into single figures with daytime temperatures struggling to reach over 5C.
And the weather will feel even colder and closer to freezing at times as the week rolls on.
Breezy winds will make wind chill temperatures feel more like 1C meaning it will be a week to break out the scarf, hat and gloves.
With the colder weather comes the risk of frost and potentially ICE and wouldn’t be a surprise if we saw our first ICE weather warnings overnight in parts of the UK.
The Met Office say: “For much of next week it looks mostly cloudy with the best of the brighter spells in the west.
“Showers are possible, mainly in the east, and these could turn wintry over hills. It will be cold, especially in the south, with this accentuated by the brisk wind.
“Night frosts are likely and could become widespread at times. Towards the end of the week there is a chance of outbreaks of rain and hill snow affecting many areas at times, particularly in the south.
“Similar conditions will probably continue into the following weekend and the last week of November.
“There is also an increasing chance of snow falling to lower levels towards the end of November, mainly in the north and east.”
