The hunters moon will take place tonight and will treat stargazers to a spectacular look at the moon.
Not sure what a hunters moon is?. Here’s everything you need to know.
When?
The hunters moon is tonight and will start to appear at around 6:15pm.
Where?
Anywhere, just look up, but if you are taking pictures then heading away from light pollution may give you a better shot.
Rural areas or coastal areas can sometimes give stunning views of the moon.
What is it?
A Hunter’s Moon is the next full moon after the Harvest Moon, which is the full moon nearest the autumn equinox.
To put it simply it is just a full moon, but it can often look red or orange, because it’s near the sunset.

Chances?
Merseyside is expected to be mostly cloudy tonight, so it may be difficult to catch a glimpse of the moon.
However, you may be lucky enough to catch it during a break in the clouds.
The Met Office say: “Skies will stay cloudy tonight and the breeze should keep temperatures up too.
“Some patchy drizzle is possible but many places will stay dry.”
