Temperatures could reach over 20C tonight in the south of the country as milder air warms up the country.
The average nighttime temperatures for October is around 8C and the Met Office expect that tonight’s weather could be 10 degrees warmer.
This would make tonight the warmest October night since records began.
The warmest night on record so far is 18.4C, set at Aber on Oct 1, 1985.

Merseyside will see temperatures of 16C with a mostly dry night, before the wind and rain returns on Saturday morning.
The Met Office says: “Winds will gradually ease through the evening and overnight.
“Rain will also ease away for a time during the evening, but further heavy and persistent rain will return after midnight.”
