October has arrived and so has the colder temperatures on Merseyside.
The Met Office expect that October will be ‘wet and windy’ with ‘colder than average temperatures.
The colder weather will result in frost and fog and with the strong winds predicted Merseyside could see another named storm.

Forecasters expect that next week will see spells of wet and often windy weather at times, with gales or severe gales.
As Halloween nears and the end of the month arrives there is a chance of more settled weather developing, where night time fog and frosts would become more likely.
Temperatures will probably be generally colder than average by then, but with some short-lived milder interludes at times.
The Met Office long range forecast said: “There are likely to be spells of wet and often windy weather at times, especially across northern and western parts of the UK, with gales or severe gales.
“Temperatures will probably be generally colder than average by then, but with some short-lived milder interludes at times.”
