However, as storm Ernesto approaches the UK, it will loose intensity and won’t bring any damaging winds unlike what some newspapers are reporting.
The main impact of the storm will be rain during Saturday night into the early hours of Sunday.

Current Met Office forecasts suggest that Merseyside will see the heaviest of the rain during Sunday morning with winds picking up to around 30mph.
The Met Office says: “Little change through the evening. However, more extensive, persistent and at times heavier rain will affect many parts by the early hours. Becoming windy in coastal areas.
“A wet start on Sunday, but the rain will ease through the morning, leaving a drier afternoon, with the best of any sunshine later in the day. Staying warm, with winds easing.”
