No sign of the heatwave returning to Merseyside as cooler temperatures to remain in place all week

The hot weather will be a thing of the past this week as cooler temperatures will remain in place all week.

After a mix of sunshine and heavy showers through the weekend that saw rainbows during Liverpool pride, that theme is set to continue.

The week will get off to wet start with more heavy showers expected at times.

Tuesday will see the best of the weather as sunshine is forecast throughout much of the day bringing slightly warmer weather.

Temperatures will average around 20C all week and with mostly cloudy conditions it looks like a much gloomier week ahead than previously.

The Met Office say “Breezy with sunshine and showers on Tuesday.

“Generally a drier and warmer day on Wednesday, but the odd shower is still possible. Rather cloudy and damp on Thursday”.
