By mid week temperatures will remain slightly cooler and there will be a risk of the wetter weather returning, which will be welcome news for gardeners.

Although the cooler start to the week, temperatures will recover slightly by the weekend, just in time for the World Cup Final.

Next week could see even more rain which could see thunderstorm break out.

The Met Office say: “The rest of the week will be a little cooler with more in the way of cloud, but it will stay mostly dry. There may be some showers on Thursday”.
