This dramatic video shows Bidston Hill burning earlier this evening as firefighters battle to put out the blaze.
Phil Birkhill recorded the footage at around 9:34pm on Friday as the flames spread.
Reports on social media suggest that plumes of smoke can still be seen through Friday night and firefighters confirmed that they have been battling the fires on and off all day.
I see Bidston Hill is on fire for the third time this week! It’s a really dry tasting smoke and gets to your eyes easily. 🙈
