Merseyside is in for a week of glorious weather as the warm temperatures will continue throughout the new week.
Temperatures will average around 20C all week with plenty of sunshine, but there will be a threat of some thunderstorms at times, which will bring cooler weather.
Although still a few days away forecasters expect that thunderstorms could affect parts of the region on Thursday, however, this could change as the week progresses.
Much of next week looks fine and settled thanks to high pressure. It’ll warm up a little as the week wears on but it won’t be as warm, humid and thundery as the one just gone, although showers may increase by the end of the week. Stav D pic.twitter.com/9xIXD5032v

The Met Office say: “Generally fine and dry with plenty of sunny spells and a cooler, fresher feel than of late.
“Possibly some heavy, thundery showers on Thursday.”
The weekend saw temperatures beat parts of Majorca as children across Wirral enjoyed the last day of the school holidays.
Majorca only managed to creep up to 18C as they spent the day under a blanket of cloud.
The Met Office predict that the mix of warm weather, sunshine, showers and risks of storms will continue into the middle of June.
