Sunday saw plenty of warm sunny spells on Merseyside but the region is at risk of seeing heavy thundery showers over night.
There could be some localised flooding where the heavy downpours occur, which could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures warn forecasters.

However, the thundery showers will pass leaving a dry and bright Bank Holiday Monday, with plenty of warm sunshine the Met office say.
The Met Office said: “Showers should quickly fade away in the morning leaving a dry day with plenty of very warm sunshine and light winds again with a maximum temperature 26 °C”.
