The Met Office has issued Merseyside a yellow severe weather warning for heavy rain.
The warning has been issued as the forecaster expects that thundery downpours will affect the region through Sunday and into the early hours of Monday.
There’s a risk of some localised flooding where the heavy downpours occur, which could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
