A water main burst on Wallasey Bridge Road on Monday night flooding the surrounding roads.

Motorists were forced to find alternate routes as the water shot into the sky.

Some car windscreens were damaged by debris as they tried to drive through the jet of water.

The road still remains shut today and Wirral council expect that it will stay closed until at least Wednesday until the problem is fixed.
