High pressure is sending temperatures soaring across the UK this weekend and Bank Holiday Monday will see the warmest of the weather.
It’s set to be the warmest May Bank Holiday Monday’s ever as temperatures near the 30C mark will bake the south of the country.
Impressively the weather is set to be so hot across the UK that it will put Mexico (23C), Athens (23C), Barcelona (20C) and LA (26C) in the shade.
Merseyside will see temperatures near 25C on Bank Holiday Monday and the weather will feel warm on Tuesday too.

Although forecasts currently suggest that the rain and cloud will return on Tuesday and there’s even a risk of Thunderstorms through the week.
The rest of the week will see temperatures take a tumble and could be a whole 10 degrees cooler than Bank Holiday Monday, with thundery showers mixed in.
The Met Office say: “Low cloud and fog patches will continue to affect some coastal areas on Monday.

“However, most inland parts will be dry and settled with unbroken very warm sunshine, the maximum temperature will be 26 °C.
“Warm sunshine and perhaps a heavy shower on Tuesday. However, patchy rain introducing fresher air from the west later.
“Mostly fine on Wednesday and Thursday, although rain possible Wednesday night”.
