High pressure is still very much influencing the weather over the UK this Bank Holiday Weekend.
This is allowing warmer air from Southern Europe to creep over the country, bringing temperatures of 25C to Merseyside.
Will it last ?
The hot weather is is expected to continue into the new week, with temperatures peaking on Bank Holiday Monday.
In fact, temperatures will be that warm it could be the hottest early May bank holiday EVER.

Merseyside will see temperatures near 25C on Bank Holiday Monday, the weather will feel warm on Tuesday too, although forecasts currently suggest that the rain and cloud will return.
The rest of the week will see temperatures take a tumble and could be a whole 10 degrees cooler than Bank Holiday Monday, with thundery showers mixed in.
The Met Office say: “Warm sunshine and perhaps a heavy shower on Tuesday. However, patchy rain introducing fresher air from the west later.
“Mostly fine on Wednesday and Thursday, although rain possible Wednesday night”.
