After an average start to the week temperatures will increase over the bank Holiday weekend as high pressure settles over the UK.

Merseyside will see warm temperatures of around 22C and with the UV forecast as being high, health experts are urging sun worshippers and the vulnerable to wear sun cream.

The good news doesn’t stop there, forecasters are expecting the warm weather to hang around through next week too, as Tuesday and Wednesday will see further warm weather that could creep past the 20C mark.

The Met Office say: “Over the Bank Holiday it will stay dry, with plenty of sunshine.

“In light winds it will feel very warm into Tuesday, but along the coast it will be cooler”.
