After a mild weekend that saw plenty of sunny spells on Sunday, the cold air is set to return in the new week.
Sunday saw temperatures reach double figures in parts of Merseyside and it felt very pleasant in the sunshine.
But the feel that spring has finally arrived will disappear as colder air from Russia is set to bring back the cold nights and frosty mornings to Merseyside.
Temperatures will plummet back into single figures and by the middle of the week it will struggle to climb above 6C, with Wednesday morning at a chilly 3C.

White Easter ?
Although the colder weather is to return the region, there are currently no indications that Merseyside can expect to see snow.
Any snow that does fall on Easter Sunday will mainly be confined to hills and mountains.
The Met Office say: “Throughout the Easter weekend unsettled weather is probable.
“Showers or longer outbreaks of rain are likely to affect all parts. We will all see some sunshine at times though, with the best of any drier and brighter weather expected across the northwest.
“It is also going to feel cold with a risk of snow in some places, particularly across higher ground in the northeast of the UK”.
