The Northern light could be visible over parts of Merseyside.
Forecasters predict that there’s a chance that the spectacular light show could be visible over parts of the region tonight.
Twitter page Virtual Astro confirmed that Geomagnetic activity would be strong enough to reach Northern England resulting in a aurora (Northern lights).

The best chances of spotting the Northern lights will be anywhere with clear skies and away from light pollution.
The best chance of spotting the Northern lights on Merseyside will be around 1am when skies are expected to clear.
The Met Office “Any snow showers should die away overnight leaving most places dry.
“Winds will become lighter, although it will remain breezy. Very cold once again, with the risk of widespread ice”.
