The beast from the east has certainly made an impact on Merseyside over the last few days.
The region has experienced -5C temperatures, snow, ICE, train cancellations, flight delays and a severe water leak at a Wirral hospital due to the icy conditions.
The weather is expected to worsen during the early hours of Friday as further snow showers are expected with strong winds.
The Met Office has placed Merseyside on a yellow severe weather warning as gusts of up to 70 mph are expected, the region is also still on weather warnings for snow and ICE.

They warn that road, rail and air services may be affected, with longer journey times and cancellations possible.
Some roads and bridges may also close with power cuts and some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs could happen.
The warning is in place from 12:05am to 12pm Friday.

A forecaster at the Met Office said: “Very strong easterly winds will affect high ground in Northern England and Wales, with some powerful gusts also at lower levels to the west of the hills.
“Gusts of 60-70 mph are possible and locally 80 mph over high ground, which will affect cross Pennine roads and some coastal routes in west and northwest Wales”.
