As a result of the current icy conditions, Arrowe Park Hospital has been dealing with an extremely severe water leak on the roof.
Two major plant pipes ruptured causing a considerable amount of water to cascade through to the third floor and further into the hospital building.
The leak could have had a severe impact to electrics, IT equipment and patient safety, so a decision was made to call a major internal incident, the hospital said.
The leak was eventually controlled and nor patients, staff or visitors were harmed.
Due to the freezing weather, we are dealing with a burst water pipe on the roof of APH which is affecting the 3rd floor.
If you wish to visit your loved ones, please do so. This is no longer affecting visiting.
