What will happen on Merseyside  ?

Merseyside has not been issued any severe weather warnings due to the arrival of storm Georgina.

However, winds overnight will still be strong across the region, with gusts of to 50mph expected, which could lead to some disruption.

Rain will be very heavy at times too, with the possibility of some localised flooding and reduced visibility on our motorways due to surface spray.

The Met Office say: “A dry start to the night tonight with clear spells, but winds will strengthen with rain arriving by midnight.

“This will turn heavy and squally for a time, with gales in exposed parts. Mild for most, before turning cooler later”.

“Becoming colder, with sunshine and showers on Thursday, possibly turning wintry over the hills. Drier on Friday, with sunny spells after an early frost. Milder with some rain on Saturday”.
