Liverpool has made a list of the top 40 holiday destinations in the world for 2018.
The list that was made by The Guardian, referred to the city as “still capital of Culture”, exactly 10 years on from when the city won European Capital of culture.
Liverpool made the list alongside Paris, Harlem, Peru, New Orleans and Amsterdam.
The city will be celebrating 10 years of Capital of Culture throughout the year, with a number of big events being held across the city.
Mayor Anderson said: “We want everything we do in 2018 to build on the wonderful work which has taken place in the city since 2008.
“2018 will be the next watershed year in the history of Liverpool and one which will make everyone who lives here proud, and everyone that doesn’t live here wonder why they don’t!”
