Merseyside will see temperatures dip even further over the next few days, as air from the arctic filters down from the north.
As there will be a lack of cloud cover on Wednesday and Thursday, daytime temperatures wont climb higher than 4C and nighttime temperatures will dip to below freezing in some areas.
This is all you need to know about the weather for the rest of this week…

This will lead to a risk of ice and frost during the morning commute and with quite a few crashes on the M53 recently due to the weather, drivers will have to take their time on the way to work.
With winds being quite strong the wind chill will make the weather feel closer to -3C, making the next few days feel colder than usual for the time of year.

However, there is some good news, by the time the weekend arrives, milder weather will return, allowing temperatures to recover back into double figures.
The Met Office say: “Thursday will be even colder, with sunshine again.
“Friday will have similar cold and dry weather but by Saturday it will cloudier and less cold, with rain at times”.
