Merseyside will see below normal temperatures this October, with nights feeling colder and the return of fog and frost.
The first half of the month is when it’s expected the region will see the return of the colder weather.
This is according to the Met Office’s forecast for October, which also points out that the month could also see more wet and windy weather.
And as October nears to Halloween is when the wetter and windier weather could batter the region, with some drier brighter spells at times.
There will also be cold nights during this period, but daytime temperatures are expected to be near normal for the time of year.
The Met Office say that towards the end of the month: “Changeable weather is likely to dominate across much of the country through the second half of October, with spells of rain and strong winds moving across the country interspersed with drier, brighter and more settled interludes.
“The best of the brighter and drier weather is most likely in the southeast.
“However, we may see more settled conditions in other places at times, bringing an increased risk of morning fog and frost”.
