On Thursday the Met Office placed Merseyside on a severe weather warning for heavy rain and warned of strong winds.
72 hours later and the warnings have been removed from the Merseyside area as forecasters believe that the worst of the weather will not affect the region.
However, winds will still be strong and the rain will still be very heavy on Merseyside this weekend.

How windy will it get ?
The worst of the weather is set to impact the area on Sunday night and into Monday, when winds could reach 50mph, especially at coastal locations.
Heavy rain will also batter the region at times through Sunday, with the risk of some localised flooding.

The Met Office say: “Saturday sees a mixture of sunshine and occasional showers at first.
“However, the skies will turn increasingly cloudy through the late afternoon with more persistent rain, locally heavy, arriving later.
“Bands of heavy rain and strong southwesterly winds on Sunday, drier later.
“Very windy but brighter on Monday with showers. Drier and brighter on Tuesday but windy.”
