The weather is set to warm up this weekend on Merseyside.

Air from a more Southerly direction is set to bring some warmth to the region, as milder winds from Europe will increase temperatures across the country.

Even though the weekend will see mostly cloudy conditions and the threat of rain, Merseyside could see highs of 18C making the weather feel much milder than recently.

The Met Office say: “After some early brightness, Saturday will be largely cloudy with the odd spot of light rain or drizzle.

“Cloud will thin later to give a fine end to the day.

“Changeable over the next few days with rain possible on Sunday and Monday, perhaps heavy in places.

“Largely dry on Tuesday with sunny spells. Warmer than recently with milder nights”.
