Wirral and Liverpool woke up to cold thick fog blanketing the area this morning.
The fog was that thick on the River Mersey that Mersey Ferries were forced to cancell this mornings crossings, with replacement busses.
The Mersey Ferry is currently suspended due to fog on the river. A replacement bus service is running for the commuter service ⛴⚠️🌫

Temperatures were around a chilly 8C as the fog rolled in and many people took to social media to take pictures.
The weather fog is expected to burn away later this morning, with temperatures warming up to around 16C later on this afternoon.
The Met Office say: “A chilly start with patchy mist and fog across some areas.
“Mist and fog will clear through the morning to leave a dry day with sunny spells.
“Winds will be light and it will feel pleasant in the sunshine”.
