Wirral rescue teams were called out to reports of a boat that was getting smashed against the rocks by large waves.
The boat was drifting near to the rocks between West Kirby and Thurstaston.
Wirral coastguard and West Kirby RNLI teams arrived on scene around 2:30PM yesaterday to see if there was anyone on board.
Rescue teams soon luckily found that there was no one on board and the boat had come loose from its moorings.
Wirral Coastguard said on their Facebook page: “All relevant details were obtained in relation to the vessel and passed to Holyhead Coastguard Operations Centre who were attempting to contact the owner to make them aware so the vessel can be safely secured”.

The incident happened as Merseyside was issued severe weather warnings for strong winds on Tuesday night.
The Met Office expect winds could reach 70mph during Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.
