This Bank Holiday Monday could be one of the warmest ever


Today could be one of the warmest late August Bank Holiday Monday’s since 1965, according to forecasters.

Temperatures of 30C could be recorded in London today, which would make it one of the warmest Bank Holidays ever.

Merseyside is expected to see cooler temperatures of 23C, due to cloudy conditions, however, it will feel warm in any afternoon sunshine.

The Met Office forecast reads: “Bank Holiday Monday will on the whole be a cloudier day, although there will still be some bright or sunny spells, particularly in the south.

“Outbreaks of light rain will then reach Cumbria by late afternoon, before slowly spreading southwards”.
