Hurricane Gert is set to bring strong winds this weekend on Merseyside.
The Hurricane will make its way across the Atlantic through Friday, when it will lose intensity and weaken into an area of low pressure.
Gert will arrive over the UK during the early hours of Saturday, bringing gusts of up to 40mph, with winds remaining strong throughout the day.

A forecaster said: “There is still a little bit of uncertainty.
“If the hurricane tracks a little bit further south, that rain will be a bit further south.
“At the same time, if it tracks further north, then the drier, warmer air will be a bit further north too.”
The Met Office forecast reads: “Strong winds and showers will gradually ease for most on Saturday.
“However, it will turn wet and windy on Sunday with rain erratically travelling southeast on Monday”.
