
Wirral coastguard were called out to a person stuck in mud on Crosby beach today.
The team arrived on scene at around 12:30pm as a Merseyside fire and rescue service mud technician was attempting to extricate the casualty from the mud.

Once the casualty was extricated, they were recovered off the mud using a basket stretcher by Coastguard Rescue Officers.
The person was initially assessed by a Hazardous Area Response Team Paramedic from North West Ambulance Service before being taken to an awaiting ambulance by RNLI Lifeguards in their vehicle for a precautionary check.
